We are pleased to participate in this new pilot program for never married parents with minor children.
This program is a five hour program presented on two consecutive Wednesday evenings from 6-8:30 PM. The program is led by two facilitators (one male/one female), and uses videos, discussions and presentations to help encourage co-parenting.
Participants will discuss the importance of parents to children’s growth and development, learn co-parenting skills, better understand children and their developmental needs, and how to deal with their children in a compassionate and supportive manner.
How to register? It’s very easy to register. Call the center at 978.922.2280 and speak with our secretary who will set you up with a class. Parents cannot attend together. They must be in separate sessions but can come to the same program. You must pre-register, so call to reserve your spot.
There is no cost for those referred through the court, although there are the following conditions:
- You must have a docket number from the court
- Paternity must have been established
- Parents cannot have joint custody
- No foster parents, step-parents or grand-parents
If you do not meet these requirements, and wish to take the course, the fee is $80.
Childcare is not provided, so please do not bring your children.
Certificates of Completion are given after the second session. Participants also receive a parent handbook. |
